hi,
we are creating dashboards using Xcelsius 2008.Please let me know how to Export a SWF File available in BO Infoview to Excel File.while the file is in XLF format i can view it in Excel format in the Preview mode by taking the Snapshot of the file to Excel format. Is there anyother option in Infoview. Please let me know.
We have a similar requirement in our project.
We have achieved this by writing an XML parser in java and deploying the same on the Tomcat server. Basically, this jsp code takes the input in the form of an xml, parses it and writes it to a csv, whcih could then be opened and saved.
Refer to the link below, which we took as the base and implemented it on the same lines. It has all steps mentioned in detail.
Below is the description of the component from Centigon’s website:
Xport Wizard is a lightweight utility that will enable you to export data from your dashboard applications. The result for your dashboard end users is a seamless method for extracting and saving critical information to one of 3 output formats: Excel/CSV, XML and HTML. Xport Wizard’s graphical interface and web services provide an easy to use solution for saving data without writing a single line of code.
Benefits
* Export dashboard data to Excel with a single click

* Point and click generation and integration of web services
* Lightweight, configurable .NET web services
Have similar requirement in our project. We have Tomcat server and looking for java code to parse xml to csv… Not an expert in Java coding. Your help on this will be very much appreciated…
Hi acaussin,
of course you can use it for free. Our objective is just having the people know that ClearPeaks delivered it. As you can see when you export your data range, in the exported excel will appear also an about ClearPeaks sheet with our “free” copyrights.
In general you can definitely use it for your production environments without any problem!
Hi dhayanithij,
