Hi,
Preview/export to SWF options are failing. It returns this error message - “An error occurred when loading the file. the SWF was not created. For more information contact the file creator or your system administrator.”
This file was working fine till sometime back and has stopped working now.
We are not using any unsupported Excel functions in the dashboard either.
Can anyone point me to what mignt be causing this error?
We are using Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise SP3.

HI,
What were the recent changes you made? I would recommend taking a backup, start removing a few recent changes and check if it works by hitting PREVIEW.

The only change was to data, no formula or function changes. No new components were added either. 
That is what is worrying us now.

How much data is sitting in the model?

Not very big. XLF file is about 1.5 MB.
Excel file has 6 Tabs, the biggest sheet is around 700 rows every other sheet is in the sub 300 range.
Is that too much data?

Ok.
Its not too much but its not less either for visualisation. 
Can you delete some data and make them all around say less than 500 rows and check if it produces some preview? Atleast we can rule out the data issue…
Any upgrades of xcelsius?

Looks like the issue was with the number of columns. We had close to 176 columns. We have just reduced them now and it seem to work fine.
Is there a recommended columns limit?
