I need to export to a fixed-length text file, width 512 characters. I’ve done all the concatenation, resulting in a 512 character string, but I cannot get all the data to display in the .txt file. It just truncates the data. I tried making the field wider, but after about 20" wide, it stops displaying anything in the exported file. IF I turn on “can grow”, it displays everything, but rolls onto multiple lines, which is no good.

Is this a limitation of XI, or is there a format setting that will allow me to export a fixed-length text file 512 characters wide?

I have a similar issue.We need to export the Crystal report output to a fixed length in a single line to fit 1000 charecters.Anyhelp on this issue is a very big help.
