Hi,
There are two ways of exporting the WebI report into excel.
- Document -> Save to my computer as -> Excel
- Document -> Save report to my computer as -> Excel
I know both give the same output. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Is there any difference between these two ways internally? what is the need of giving two ways if they give the same output?

Yes there is difference.
- Document -> Save to my computer as -> Excel…> saves the complete (all the tabs) *.wid in *.xls
- Document -> Save report to my computer as -> Excel …> saves the active tab *.wid in *.xls

There is none, Unless you try these options with a report (*.wid) with multiple tabs.

Hello, I think you didn’t understand NEO’s answer and others.
Through an example i will tell you…
Qns: We have a document with 10 tabs of reports. I need to export them to excel??
Here question comes again, you need single report(means 1 tab report) to excel or els all tab reports to excel
Ans-1 : Single report then Document–>> Save Report to my computer as :Excel or PDF
Ans-2: All tabs: then Document -->> Save to my computer as
Hope you understood now…
thanks
