Error while logging into InfoView (New Installation)

I finshed installing the bobj xi3.1 edge server and test it on system defined universe such as efashion etc, the data source connection is tested successfuly and i can even create a report on webi Rich client to make sure installation is ok.
But when I try to log on to Infoview I get the following error message as soon as I click on document list—>New----->Web Intelligence Document.
Pls advise if I am missing some connection settings on the server side or some kind of firewall rules to be set.

Hi
O/S is windows server 2008 64 bit
I set up odbc and connected bobj to sql server database (sql server is 2008).
I installed bobj standard edge edition XI 3.1

someone was telling me that I might have to redeploy a WAR file but I dont know how to do that. If you think this could be the reason can you advise me step by step how to do that.
Thanks

Sounds like you are using Internet Explorer 9, which is still not supported.

Try using another browser like Firefox (or IE8 )

I am using IE9

I believe IE8 only works in compatibility mode. Have you given that a shot?

You mentioned it’s a 64 bit server, did you tell your app server (IIS, right?) to allow 32-bit processing? It’s a property in the app pool, yes / no 32bit - if you don’t set that to true, you may see a similar error.

Just a thought, I know it caught me at some time…

I think BusinessObjects hosted on II7 server. Since BusinessObjects is 32 bit application. You need to enable 32-bit by make as true, use classic .NET appPool in Application pool Properties

Try this I hope this will Work

bdouglas / avrao
I have tried this in compatibility mode already but it does not work.
Can you give me steps to change the properties in the app pool, I would appreciate your on this.
Regards

Sure, pull up your IIS manager on the web server box, and select the application pools section - My Infoview is tied to the Classic .NET app pool, , so I select that and bring up advanced settings (right click). There is a true/false Enable 32-Bit apps property under general - just set that to true.

You can either set all your app pools to allow 32 bit, or you can check advanced properties on your Webi virtual directories - Advanced Settings on these will show the app pool that’s in effect.

Restart the app pool to make sure this takes effect, hope this fixes you up!
