Hi,
I have built a sample dashboard . Now I would like to export it to Dev Enviornmnet (Export to SAP Business Objects Platform)…It fails with error message "Unable to connect to CMS ". It is by default trying to connect to port 6400 servername:6400where as I would like it to connect to port 8080 servername:8080.
Can someone let me know where it might be getting wrong?

Why would you like to connect to CMS using the port 8080? The 8080 port is used by http protocol. The CMS uses the port 6400 in the default BOBJ installation. Only if you changed this 6400 port for CMS manually, only then you need to connect to CMS using other port. But it’s definitely not the port 8080.

A) Verify the correct port for your CMS. A already stated unless changed the default port for CMS is 6400 whereas port 8080 is the default port to connect to the Web applications in SAP BI BusObjects via Internet browser (to get to the CMC or BI Launchpad).
B) Then check tha no Firewall is blocking communication to your SAP BI BusObjects Server on the CMS port (6400 by default).
