error when installing BO XI 3.1

Hi,

I am getting the error “error applying transforms. verify that the specified transform paths are valid” when i double click the setup.exe file.

Can any one provide me solution for this…

Just checking - are you installing from a share drive? That has always caused me problems…

No, i copied all the contents to hard disk drive and installing but this is not a shared drive.

I found a BO note on this - try running this from your Windows / system 32 folder

msiexec.exe /i businessobjects.msi TRANSFORMS=:1033

Where 1033 is the English transform (Microsoft has the list, if you need that). May have to fully path your .MSI file, also.

Hope that gets you going, not sure what triggered this on your set up.
