Error uploading ABAP for transport to closed clients

When I try to generate and upload the ABAP workflows, I get an error:

The ABAP program for ABAP data flow <PRODUCT_HIERARCHY> (datastore <R3_DS>) was not uploaded: < RFC CallReceive error <Function /BODS/RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN: RFC_ABAP_MESSAGE- Exception condition “NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_GUI” raised.[SAP NWRFC 720][SAP Partner 701 ][RW1][xxxSYSTEM][xxxUSER][4103]>. >.

My R3 Datastore is pointing to an open client. What values should be in the UPload Attributes? I have:

Status: K - Customer Production Program
Application: S - Basis
Development Class: $TMP
Request ID:
Task ID:

New information:

I found that the transports were not in our development client (only in QA). This has been addressed. I also changed the Status to “T- Test Program”.

Now if I leave the class as $TMP it will generate and upload the ABAP, but I need to be able to transport this.

I need a development class for this but I cannot find in the documentation the correct settings for this.

Is there a document that details what is needed that I can point my basis team to? A tutorial? This is the one missing piece I think,…
