Error on export to ATL

Hi all,

Whenever I want to export a job, data flow etc to an ATL file using Data Services 4.1, I receive this error:


Internal warning: Decryption failed with error <Invalid message digest for data.>.

Any idea what is going on here?

No SAP Notes found on the words “decryption” or “digest” when limiting to BODS 4.x.

Sounds like a case to SAP…

Join the club… Never seen this error before.

Do note though that the ATL file exports just fine.

I suspect that this error is related to the passphrase somehow. It seems that setting a passphrase is mandatory rather than optional - which is also a pain in the bum to be honest.

Is there an option somewhere to disable the passphrase obligation on export? Or at least make it optional?

We use a standard pasword for the exports… Does invalidate the new function a bit, but hey… when you want to import and nobody knows the password and you lose like 60 passwords… (SAP systems + FTP’s + database connections)

I’m getting the same error, also DS 4.1 SP 1 patch 5.

dosn’t matter whatever I export ATL, XML or Rep. still getting same error (thou the export is working anyway…)

can you check the error log file in %DS_COMMON_DIR% if that has more information ?

first delete the tracelog.* and errorlog.* from %DS_COMMON_DIR%\log folder, do an export and check the logs

I’ve seen this before but do not recall how I got past it. Suddenly seeing it again, currently when exporting to another repo. Dang. If I solve it I will post a solution.

I tried exporting to ATL, and inputting a passphrase, same error. But, I found the exported ATL file and it looks whole, so maybe this error can be ignored. Also appears to have successfully exported to the repo when I did that at first. Hate ignoring errors though (something is wrong somewhere).
