Just tried to search in the Designer forum and got this error repeatedly:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/forumtop/public_html/busobj/includes/functions_bob.php on line 621
Not sure if it’s my pc or something on teh Bobj servers but thought I’d log it here just in case it’s relevant to anything or means something to anybody…
“universe InfoObject” in the Designer forum. Just tried it again and got the same error. It’s not a problem for me, just thought I’d log it somewhere in case it becomes an issue for anybody else.
Too bad, it happened to me today as well.
So it’s probably a “server problem” but it came back.
EVERY time I search and include the word “universe”.
With the test-search “test” the error is: “too many results”, but when looking for “universe name” or “changing universe name” or … I get the above error.
And with just “universe” as well.
Not “too many hits” , but none at all.
I was searching today for “Universe connection is not accessible” and I got the following error message on BOB:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/forumtop/public_html/busobj/includes/functions_bob.php on line 621
For a phrase search like that it’s best to use Google to search this site. “Universe” is not a valid search word because it appears in such a high percentage of posts.
I just searched for “webi issues poll” (without quotes) in the Web Intelligence XI forum and got the same error.
A search for “minus” (no quotes) did not give an error, so it might be a problem with too many results. But shouldn’t something be tweaked on the server side anyway, maybe cut off at a predefined number of results like when you open a search help that has a lot of options in SAP? BOB may not have a lot of control over the server side but it couldn’t hurt to request.
