Error mesages when using formulae

Does anyone know where there is a list of explanations of the error messages which display when a formula contains an error? (eg #ERROR)

I tried accessing the on-line documentation as suggestion in the ‘help’ menu in Business Objects, but gave up because I couldn’t find it on the website! :hb:

Way back in v4 there was a small booklet which did a good job of explaining the #-type errors that existed at the time. I’ve never seen an electronic copy of it and I can’t think of anything similar. I shall have a look through my archives and if I find anything I’ll drop you a copy.

There was an electronic copy in 5, might even have been in 6.

Hi DianeJ,

The link below has a pdf which begins detailing WebIntelligence 3.1 error messages on page 431  .

Hi Joe - thanks for this - I’m sure it will come in useful at some stage, but it’s not what I was looking for. My problem is with actual #ERROR-type results when building formulae within a report.

At what scenario the #Err message is coming up.

  1. Is it on the report you migrated from V6.X to XI?
  2. Is it on a report you developed in BO XI?.. If it is… need more information on the report block, missing context and definition of the local varible which may include the object not in the block
