I am getting error Windows version failed while installing Business Objects 4.1 trial version, I am using Windows 7 SP1
Error Information:
This product needs to be installed on windows server 2008 or higher windows server version. Please verify that your version of windows meets these requirements
Can you help suggest?

Hi,
As the error message suggests, the instalation needs Windows server OS.
Your Win 7 OS is a client OS, not a server one.

You might be able to install Edge on a non-server OS, but if you wish to install enterprise you will need to go the VM route and run a server OS, as Marek suggested.
In fact someone managed to get version 4 working on Windows 7, see below:-
