Error ERR_WIS_30270

Hi All,

While trying to open a new Webi document (Web Intelligence XI 3.1), getting the following error:

An internal error occured while calling ‘initInstance’ API (Error: ERR_WIS_30270)

(Please refer Attachment for a screenshot of the error message).

Any suggestion as to what has caused the error and how to resolve it would be extremely helpful.

30270 Error is pretty generic in nature. It may happen due to multiple reasons, often when your data provider fails or there is something wrong about the report (ID, document location, CMS Information etc). I have also seen cases of this error when people had wrong JRE Environment.

Probably, you can give us more information:

  • Does it happen with one report or with all of them?
  • Are you able to access a Deski report?
  • Can you restart Webi server and try to access the report?

Most of the times, on encounter of this error, I used to close down my Internet Explorer and start a new session, which used to resolve my issue.

Neither am I able to see the reports I had initially (they seem to have disappeared!!!) nor am I able to create new Webi documents.

Thanks a lot for your assistance.

Any trouble-shooting tip to get rid of this would be an enormous help.
