error during SQL execution:(DA0003);unexpexted behaviour

hi

I am getting an annoying error with a user. The error occurs when user tries to refresh a particular report associated with XYZ universe.

It gives

.
Also the user is able to refresh report associated with other universes.

But, I am able to refresh the report, using user’s BO id, on my system without any errors.

We are using BO 6.5.1.

Also observed following:

  1. User is not logging in offline mode.
  2. Tried deleting local copy of universe did not work.

any suggestions…

Have you tried running it on their machine with your log in?

How are you connecting and what database are you using?

I suspect a problem with the middleware, is the version of MDAC, if using Microsoft, the same for both machines?

we are using oracle 10g

Do you mean i have to check which oracle version is installed on user’s machine.
The probelm seems to be with one particular universe. The user is able to run report for other universes.

Can they run any queries against this universe?

Well, I would, its just a thought…:).

You should also try logging in and seeing if the report will run on that machine, with your log on.

Also, you should check the users TNS names file and check they connecting to the right data base.

So you are using ZABO to run the reports?

Did you try logging in, as yourself, on the users machine and running the report?

Try creating a simple query against the universe, does this run?

already done that it threw same error…even tried re-installing the BO on users machine…

the simple query is also not working for the particular universe…

There must be something wrong with the connection string on the users machine that has been downloaded from your server.

Anyway, have a read through this post and see if it helps, I’m afraid I have not worked on 6.5 for quite some time:-
