Error: CFT 01001 - For ORB configuration

Hello,

We get the error The user name or password is not valid. (Error: CFT 01001) while trying to configure primary ORB during cluster management setup. We are trying to do a new install of Business Object 6.5.1.

We have not been able to progress beyond the ‘Account for Business Objects server section’ within the ORB config. section.

We have confirmed that the domain name, name and password are correct by comparing this setup with an existing setup in a different environment. Is there something we are missing? A workaround?

Please verify that this domain account is a member of local administrator group.

And it has following security rights,
Act as past of OS
Log in as service

Pl remember to reboot the server after making these changes.

Hi Cristophe,

Are you doing this install remotely? I was getting the same error doing an install via Terminal Services and couldn’t figure it out. Finally went and logged onto the server locally and everything was fine

We just encountered this same problem. The issue was, I had added the “Act as part of the OS” and “Log on as a service” permissions to the account, but I was logged in as that account and hadn’t rebooted.

It seems that all I have to do is log out and back in – no reboot required – and it corrected the problem.
