We have Business Objects 4.1 and I am trying to install Business Objects 4.1.4 for testing. I upgraded the master setup of 4.1 to 4.1.4 on the test server and did the client installation as shared. When I run Business Objects I am getting the error Cannot Access Network Layer.
Did anyone come accross this error and can anyone tell me why I am getting this error.
Did you do a “Check Middleware” after the installation of BoB ?
I discovered this problem when installing BoB on Win 95 machines and it was
a result of a unsucessful installation of the middleware (Oracle SQL Net in
my case).
It took me a while to find out that the path entry in the autoexec.bat file
was wrong.
Hope that helps …

I had this problem some time ago when running BO. BO was trying to connect to
the repository, but I was using an incorrect ODBC driver for the repository data
source.
