Error ASP 0115 on BO 6.1.0

Hi BOB people. I need help about a problem occurred on BO Enterprise 6.1.0 running under Windows 2000 server SP4 with IIS 5.0.

After a reboot the system, when trying to run the page http://hostname/wiasp, after the login page I get the following error message (english translation from italian language :!: ):

"Active Server Pages error ‘ASP 0115’ Unexpected error

/wiasp/scripts/login/login.asp

A trappable error (E06D7363) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running. "

The error occurred on line 43 of the asp module “login.asp” both the server is running and the server is stopped

I checked all rights on the directory, set to reading, writing, execution, etc also for the anonymous user :+1:

I tried to execute other asp scripts (writing data on mdb file) copied into the same directory; they run without problem :+1:

What do I do to fix this :wah: ?

I thank you for your attention and excuse me for my bad “Inglish” :flush:

Vincent

hi guys,

i hope vince has managed to find the solution. As for me, i am having somewhat the same sympton but from another angle.

The 6.5.1 cluster manager was deployed as a single dedicated app + web + BO server, all-in-one monster, with IIS 6.0, in a Windows 2003 server.

It works fine so far, except for:

  1. when i do a search from within Webi for a full-client document (have not tried webi docs), after entering the search string, i will receive the following message in the child frame:

Active Server Pages error ‘ASP 0115’
Unexpected error
/wiasp/scripts/searchRXML.asp
A trappable error (C0000005) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running.
Active Server Pages error ‘ASP 0240’
Script Engine Exception
/wiasp/scripts/searchRXML.asp
A ScriptEngine threw exception ‘C0000005’ in ‘IActiveScript::Close()’ from
‘CActiveScriptEngine::FinalRelease()’.

  1. i cannot get the Admin Console running from a client web browser. On the server is it ok.
  • it displays a message saying “cannot login from client. Error: THe Business Objects System is not started. (ADC 00071).”

Any help/tips would be appreciated.

cheers,
ivan

Thanks, Iphoon, I found only one Solution  , three monts ago (drastic, after many and many attempt to solve the original problem :wah: ):

  • Format C: :blue:
  • Install Windows 2000 Server
  • Install/Activate IIS 5
  • Install Java VM (and other that I don’t remember now)

Ghost (full image of system) :yesnod:

  • Install Bo 6.1.0 on C:
  • Configure Repository (if necessary: connections, Users, etc.)
  • Test (all OK, no errors  )

Ghost (create new image)

Every time, any error occurs (even asp 0115), I restore the appropriate Image: I spend very very few time

I replicate that solution in various context (not in Unix environment, naturally) with success, sometimes updating the ghost image, if necessary
