Error adding a repository on Management Console

DI = 11.7
MSSQL = 2005

I’m trying to add a repository (the first). But when I test the parameters this error is shown: "The TCP/IP connection to the host has failed. java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect ".

Few weeks ago, I added a reposotory, but for MySQL and it didn’t give error.

These are the parameters:

Parameters tested
Repository name: ds_dev
Database type: Microsoft SQL Server
Machine name: APICADO\SQL_APICADO1
Database port: 1433
Database name: ds_DEV

I tried too:
Repository name: ds_dev
Database type: Microsoft SQL Server
Machine name: APICADO
Database port: 1433
Database name: SQL_APICADO1

Pls your help.

give the machine name as APICADO and database name as ds_DEV, no need to give the instance name, the instance will be recognised from the port on which its running

the problem could be with the server not responding in time for connect
are you able to connect that Server using client application running on same machine as DI Webserver ?

DI and SQL Server are installed on the same machine.

I am trying to add a repository via DI webserver.
