Enforce Domain name in the URL

Hi All,

We are using BO enterprise XI Release 3.1 installed in Solaris box.
We have few reports that are scheduled to user’s email address.

In schedule options, we select the option Report URL for the Message Body portion, which generally displays the Report’s full URL in the Email.

The basic idea is that, the user can simply open the report by clicking the URL, instead of navigating through Infoview.

But the problem here is, the user in his email, gets the URL like ‘http://aliasURL/opendoc/…’. The user gets only the alias domain name in the URL and not the full URL of the server. Because of this, for many of the users Infoview does not open. If the URL has got the entire URL address, then it works for the user.

Could anyone suggest where do I have to change to enforce the full domain name instead of the alias domain name?

I checked in the CMC and found nothing. I tried to see it in the server, but i am not sure where exactly should I change. Its a UNIX server.

I found the solution. The entire domain name has to be hardcoded in CMC’s settings. :+1:
