Encyclopedia & Discussions in XIR3

Hi,

We’re trying to turn off Encyclopedia and Discussions in XI R3 through the CMC. Any help on how to do this will be appreciated.

This seemed an appropriate topic to post the opposite question: who is using Discussions and/or Encyclopedia, and what are your experiences, positive or negative? Is there value-added in either? We’re upgrading from BO 6.5 to XI R3.

We have tried to use it in XIr2 and have found that they are too cumbersome to maintain with too little in return. We ended up not using it.

Discussion is a useful feature, but there is lack of communication between report developers and Power users. there is no communication happening between them. i.e. If final no are not matching and you are expecting something diff then you should put it there in discussion and ask your report developer or line manager to check that

I have not much used it but its a potential thing to work upon if you have frequent communication with decision makers.
