Just setting up our 3x environment for initial testing and we are trying to set up auditor for Desktop Intelligence.
The Admin Guide indicates that “For client connection through HTTP (Desktop Intelligence Zabo Client) you must open a port in the firewall between the Web Application Server and the Adaptive Processing Server machines.”
Has anyone set up Auditing for Deski that has been through this process and provide some additional clarity on the steps to take?
A port in the firewall should be opened between client and
Adaptive Processing Server. The port is 6400.
Now you have to select Auditing is enabled for Adaptive Processing Server in Servers management area of CMC.
Again in Manage Application area of CMC you have to enable auditing and select the events which you want to audit. Now you will be able to audit Desktop Intelligence events. Hope this helps.
We can see in the CMC that our Client Auditing Proxy Service (CAPS) inidcates “This service has no configuration property.”
The Administrator Guide is pretty sparse on the details of configuring the Client Auditing Proxy Service are there other white papers or documentation that walks through this?
Configure CMC - Applications - Desktop Intelligence - Audit Events- Turn on auditing points that you wish to have audited.
Configure CMC - Servers - Adaptive Processing Server - Properties to specify an unused port that is open between your desktops and your server or leave to auto assign if all ports are open
Configure CMC - Servers - Adaptive Processing Server - Auditing to turn on the ability to store the audit records
