Editing SQL generation parameters

Hi,

How do I add the Oracle setting: <alter session set nls_territory=“THE NETHERLANDS”;> in the universe parameters screen (in Designer)? Have tried several options but no succes.

Please advise

 You might try editing your Oracle.sbo file. You should be able to add a parameter to the Oracle.sbo file to accomplish this.
:!: This would impact all of your Oracle connections though, so if you are only wanting to change this one universe, that may not be the best option.

:?: You don’t say what version of Business Objects you are using so I can’t point you to the correct document for information on what options you can set up on the .sbo files.

I haven’t worked with Oracle much so I can’t give you much more information that this. We have made a change to our ODBC.dbo and OLEDB.sbo files but not anything with Oracle.

We are (still) using Business Objects 6.54
I think a connectinit should do the trick but I don’t know how.

It’s been a long time since I worked with BO 6.x and I don’t remember much.

I did a google search and found this post fairly quickly. Give it a try. https://bobj-board.org/t/111296
