Dynamic parameter issue

Hi,
New to crystal reports. having problem with dynamic parameter.
I created some reports in my local system then pushed them to prod server. after some time when i open the local copy i’m getting some error like “unable to load prompt from repository. recreating locally” . then the parameter becomes static and no lov in the prompt.

But the reports in production server working fine. when i save them locally i’m getting the same problem as above. It seems the dynamic parameter missing locally. is there anyway i can copy the paremeter from server to local using business view.

The dynamic parameters are only located on the server in the repository. You create and manage them using business view manager.

When you open a report with a dynamic prompt crystal reaches out to the server that has the prompt and tries to load it. There is something causing the disconnect. You can get that error if you arent logged on to the server from within crystal or the logon your using doesnt have rights to see the dynamic prompts.
