Dynamic Labeling of Webi reports

All,

We have a requirement to include a “watermark” on reports that are certified by our Development team. The problem is that we need to remove this watermark dynamically when an end user saves the report to their favorites.
Does anyone know of a way that we can gain access to (while in Webi):

  1. who was the last person to modify the webi document
    or
  2. the path where the webi document is saved in Infoview.

If we could get either of these, we believe that we could include an if statement to exclude the watermark if a non-developer has modified the report or if the report is saved to “User Folders/xxx”.

Or does anyone have any other ideas to accomplish this requirement?

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever find a way to do this? I have the same requirement, but cannot find anything unique that would be true if a user were to copy the report and make modifications.

Hi Robin,
No, we did not find a method of implementing this. There does not seem to be an easy way to capture an 'action" when the user saves the WEBI so that you can remove the watermark.

I’m sure it could be done with the SDK but we are not that advances yet.
