DS 4.x - Loading data into SAP BW 7.3 - How ?

Task - Understand how with DS 4.x can write data from Sybase IQ to SAP BW 7.3.

IMHO - Integration between DS and BW is to complicity.

Using information:
Document - integration DS and SAP - Loading into SAP NetWeaver BW - is zero informative. Paradox :smiley:

Does DS support writing only in InfoSources 3.x ?
Can we use DataSources 7.x ?

But doesn’t find any datasources with @ indicator.

I can’t really comment on how easy or difficult it is, as I have not much experience with loading in to SAP BW, however, the standard install of BODS also comes with some pretty good documentation. It does not cover everything or difficult cases, but contains a good starting point.

If it does not show any @ datasources then you have no BW datasources for the corresponding DataServices RFC destination.

I find the way how to get @ datasources.

Integration between DS and BW - really terrible and to much complicity. Not intuitive.

When trying to load to this BW datasources - abap bug.

When trying to load to table (BW as SAP Application) - also bug ( ticket 906288 / 2012 - no answers ).

Thats scared me.

Does anyone using DS ↔ BW in production environments ?
