Has anyone encountered problems using drill mode when more than one data
provider is used in a document? We built a report tab using a single data
provider, and drilling works fine.
Adding another report tab with an additional provider produces inconsistent
results in the 1st tab, even when the hierarchies in both are fine.
Any insight on the problem here? thanks,

Has anyone encountered problems using drill mode when more than one data
provider is used in a document? …
I have several reports that have multiple data providers that are linked.
Each data provider may have its own default hierarchy based on the order of
objects in the universe. Therefore, the report may have multiple
hierarchies, and when you drill down through one hierarchy, you may then go
into the other hierarchy. What I have done to alleviate this problem
follows. After the report is done, I refresh it and go into the hierarchies
and delete the extra hierarchy. I then refresh the report, and the extra
hierarchy is gone.
Note: If I change the universe at all after this, I need to reopen the
report, refresh it, remove the extra hierarchy, refresh again and save the
report.
This is rather unwieldy, but I haven’t gotten any other suggestions on how
to handle this.
Check and see if your data providers are linked together. If both data
providers
have the same dimension, BusObj will automatically link the two
data providers. Check in the DataManager for linked objects…
