Drill Option

Hi gurus,

I have a report in production which is schedule for everyday, My question… is query will run whenever i use drill down, drill up and drill across in report

What do you mean, it will always run the scheduled query?

The report will only change, structurally, if you save it?

Hi,

If you set up a scope of analysis then the report will fetch all necessary data that it needs for drilling. So the report will not access the database again when you will start drilling down/up/across.

let say i have object with four level, the report is scheduled as level 4 object (say manager), when i go to latest instance and want to see employee under particular manager by doing drill down/drill across. So when i do this…is Webi access the database to get data?..question might be silly…please someone clear me

Got one more question, if i want to check weather scope of analysis used in report…how should i check?..because when i got to Edit Query i did’t see the scope of Analysis

From memory there is an icon in the edit query to view the scope of anlaysis pane…

Hi,

I am developing a Webi report, and using Drill functionality.
For the Drill functionality I am doing custom hierarchy in universe but I am facing 1 problem.

In the universe out of 6 objects i am using 3 objects in custom hierarchy. and running the report. I want to see only these 3 objects in my report in Drill.

But Webi report is showing the 3 objects in Drill + other 3 objects(Remaining objects) also in the Drill function in a ‘Other’ class

I want to remove these extra 3 objects(these 3 objects present in one class ‘Others’) from the report.

Please help me to solve the problem.
