Drill Option is not available for new users

Hi,

I have a BO XI 3.1 set up. I am facing a problem that the new users i am creating, do not find drill option in the existing reports. whereas if i login using administrator I am getting the drill mode. I logged in as a newly created user and looked at the preferences as well but there also the drill options are being displayed as grayed out.

Can anyone suggest what might be the cause for the same. Thanks in advance for any help or pointers to the above problem.

Hi everybody, how to give someone the ability to “drill” in a report ? My user has the access rights: "View, “View on Demand” and “Schedule” on the report but is still not able to drill through it. I tried to create a “drill” access level with “enable Drill Mode” and “Work in drill mode” rights granted but it seems not to work… If I use Advanced rights for the folder I do not even see the option “enable drill mode”… Update: Even if I grand “Full Control” to the folder to the user he is able…

Hi Raj,

Thanks for the response. But somehow my problem stll remains the same.I went thru the post and it says :

BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications

Web Intelligence > Click on Advanced to see the user group settings
Enable Drill mode is there[/size] ]

But I could not find any advance option when i clicked on the
Application > Web Intelligence in CMC

What you need to do is double check the security settings on the WebIntelligence application using the CMC. (Manage UserSecurity)
