Drill and Hiearchy question

Hi

We are on BOXIR2 SP2.

We have defined custom hiearchies as showin in picture ‘Custom Hiearchies.jpg’ and I have enebled the Drill feature on one of the report.

When I open the report in Infoview and to drill when I right click on the CORE_BUSINESS Column, it provides me an option only to drill by the TIME hiearchy and not the CORE_BUSINESS Hiearchy.

I was expecting it to allow me to drill by the CORE BUsiness Hiearchy as defined in our custom hiearchies

Can someone explain what wrong in my understanding.

Hi Siddhartha!

I have reviewed you posted screenshots. It appears that you are trying to drill into COREBUSINESS, but you are already at the lowest level of that heirarchy, which is COREBUSINESS > COUNTRY > BRANCH. All three of those fields are already displayed, so you have nowhere else to drill in the COREBUSINESS heirarchy. Now, I make the assumption that if you were to go up are level in the drill, you should then only show COREBUSINESS and COUNTRY, at which point you should be able to drill back into BRANCH or use the TIME drill.

Try that and let me know if it works for you or if I have misunderstood your question.

Thanks Ryan,
It did work once i removed the Country and branch from the report block.
And it makes sense that since I am already at the lowest level in hiearchy, I should not get the drilling links.
