Downgrade Crystal 2008 to XIR2

Hi,

We have developed around 100 reports in Crystal 2008 and wanted to downgrade to Crystal XIR2.

Is it possible or any work around?

I do not know of a supported way to do it. There is a line in the file itself that tells you its version number and if the version number is higher than the application opening it then the application won’t.

There might be a way to go in a modify that line to show a lower number, but I’m afraid that modifying the binary file is something that I can’t help you with. Good luck though and be sure to post your answer if you figure out a way to do it.

If you have not used any Crystal 2008-specific features, you should be able to open/run the reports in XIR2 as is with no problems.
