Does BI WEBI 4.2 SP3 execute parallel BEx Queries?

Hi All,

Can someone who has WEBi 4.3 (>=SP3 ) confirm if it supports parallel Query execution based on BEx Queries (Not universe). I checked many of the sap blogs/links, but its not clear. We are currently on BI 4.1 SP3 & planning to upgrade to 4.2 SP3.

Also, if it supports parallel queries based on BEx, is it ok if the underlying BW is 7.3 or should that be upgraded as well?

We’ve recently update to BIP 4.1 SP8 to BIP 4.2 SP3 Patch and can confirm Parallel Query execution available for BEx Queries.

Hi Viru,

Thanks for confirming. May i know what is the version of BW? 7.3 or higher? I am assuming there should not be any dependency on BW version for parallel queries to work but just wanted to confirm.

How can we validate parallel queries functioning in BW and BO ?
Did you notice any issues running parallel queries ?

Why not do some testing with the option turned on and compare it to the results when you turn the option off?
