We have a 4.2 system that has been running quite happily without any issues. The renewal for SAP support is coming up and I have been asked - do we really need it ? If we don’t buy it will our S-User-Id still allow us to download Patches etc from the Support portal?
Surely, if we have purchased the software that should be part of the deal?
Boring answer, but check your contract/purchase agreement. Usually your s-id stops working when you don’t renew your support contract though (based on what I’ve seen). That said, if you’ve purchased via a third party, they may prove more helpful but I could not possibly comment…
You’re welcome. If you’ve only got a small BO spend, I’d recommend switching to a local reseller if you are currently direct as they tend to offer better support anyway, based on my experience.
