Dissappearing Scroll Bars in LOV

I’m curious if anyone has come across this problem…

We have a laptop with Business Objects (4.1.1) and Windows 95, installed locally on it for demonstration and training purposes. The laptop used to work correctly, but now every time I do a “show list of values” from the query panel, the scroll bars do not appear. I am able to scroll through the values with the cursor keys but not the mouse (nowhere to click). I suspect it may be a Windows problem, but it only happens on lists of values in Business Objects. When I run Business Query inside of Excel on the laptop, the scroll bars appear correctly. This problem has not shown-up on any of our other computers.

Any suggestions for how to fix this?

We had somewhat of a similar problem at one point. We could not see the conditions box of the query panel. If we clicked on the simple condition function on the toolbar, we could add a condition, but we just couldn’t see it. We never found a solution. We finally reinstalled BusinessObjects and that fixed it. I’m sure there is probably an easier solution…

Andy - Thanks for the tip! After I changed the display properties to use small fonts on the laptop, the scroll bars appeared correctly. This is not the best solution since we use the laptop for training, and it makes everything harder to see, but it does work.

Anybody know if this has already been reported to Business Objects as a bug?
