Disabling Crystal Reports and OLAP Intelligence in CMC??

Although our XI R2 license includes Crystal Reports and OLAP, I want to disable these options for certain users. I am not seeing where I can disable these applications? I would have thought I could do this in the BusinessObjects Enterprise Applications section of the CMC.

Thanks,

Yes, they should have been there but they are missing for some reason.
If you want to disable crystal Explorer it should be present in the Business Objects Applications section but OLAPI is not available.
Lets see if in the future Service Packs they fix this one.

BobLang,

You can do it in a indirect way by commenting those plugins in the xml file.

That is a great idea. Do you happen to know which XML file contains those plug-ins?

Thanks!

Not sure if this is possible, but our contact from BO tech support suggested that we uninstall those modules on the server and that should take care of this issue. Havent tried this yet.

I do not see an option in the setup program where you can choose to uninstall those options.

Thanks,

That worked for the Crystal Reports options (Publications, Crystal Reports, and Report Data Source).

I did not see an entry for the OLAP applications.

Thanks!

I figured out the entry for OLAP. Removing the CrystalEnterprises.Analysis plug in is the entry for OLAP.

Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.
