Disable scheduling in personal folders for all users

I am trying to prevent users from being able to schedule documents in their personal folders. I’ve tried to achieve this by changing the Top-Level Security and taking away these rights.

However, the rights are not fully inherited on the personal folder level it seems, with users still being able to schedule documents? Perhaps this is not the right way to go about this, but I’m not sure how to do it differently? Can someone give me a hint on how to achieve this (I’m on SP3 specifically)?

I believe that this right would have to be individually set for each user favourite  . There is a good post on automating this, using the SDK, here:-

Try this:

  1. In the CMC, go to Personal Folders.
  2. Click on the Manage Menu and select Top Level Security.
  3. Modify the rights for the Everyone group to explicitly deny the rights to schedule reports.

This should inherit down so that users can’t schedule in their own folders.
