Disable inherit rights for new folders

Hi, in BO 4.1 I have setup a security model.

On the public root folder everyone has view rights.
On all subfolders I disable the everyone account rights and put in the approprate groups.

However if I create a new folder, automatically the everyone view right is inherited.

Is there some way I can disable this? I only want to show new folder which I manually specify.

Hi,

Click on the Sub folders-> User security-> click everyone -> assign security -> ‘No Access’.
Let me know if it didnt work.

I think it would be easier for you to set view access on top folder but that right should apply to only that folder not subobjects. This way inheritance is disabled and noone sees subfolders by default. Then only give access to a specific group to a specific subfolder. Setting no access to each subfolder for each group is too much hassle.

on the top folder you would need to disable the view access, then for each subfolder you would explicitly assign access

How do I set the top level folder to view access and not the sub folders?
I can find how to set the top folder access but to disable the inheritance I dont know how to find it.

If I disable view access tot the top folder, the user cannot see the subfolders because the public folders map is not visible

Yes this works, but then I need to do this for each folder, and everytime a new folder is added I need to do it again.
