Difference between Data Services data Quality and DQM

Hi ,

Can any one help me what is the difference between Data Services data quality and DQM product. In which case we will go with Data Services data quality and which case we will go with DQM .

Hi Ramana

DS Data Quality: Used for parsing, standardizing and matching the data (like data cleanse- apart from person and firm cleanse, address cleanse and match and consolidation).

DQM: 1.Used to do Person and Firm cleansing (Person and firm cleansing package can be downloaded from SMP.
2. Used for address validation, data governance (avoiding duplicate entries in ECC and CRM) through Real-time jobs.

Hi Durai,

PERSON and FIRM data cleansing also part of DS only . DQM work with DS quality only with some user interface framework. We can use DS alone for CRM & ERP cleansing and data governance using real time jobs.

As per my knowledge DQM has pre-build jobs for cleansing and java user interface and simplifies the developer job.

I want to know use cases for DQM and DS quality where it fits.

Hi Ramana,

Yes, DQM works with DS data quality only. Also we have ATLs for that.
Is not Person and firn cleansing part of DQM?.
