Could you please let me know the differences between Design studio and WEB I at the granularity level and in terms of performance of the tools to create a dashboard.
Need your valueable inputs.

Too many to list, like comparing a car to a boat.
To summarize:
With Webi user can easily create reports, which are page based, they can be scheduled as well. Multiple data sources can be merged
Keywords: Self-service, ad-hoc
Preferred dara source: universe and SAP BEx queries; MS Excel can be used as well
With DesignStudio a developer will create the dashboard, which can then be viewed and refreshed by a regular user. At this time these dashboards cannot be scheduled, they are HTML5 and do not work with a standard letter size or DIN A4 page layout.
Multiple data sourceS cannot be merged.
Preferred data source: SAP BW or SAP Hana; universe possible as well though

We are working in both tools like WEB I and SAP Design Studio 1.4 SP02
on a Project but I have seen a lot of limitations and Performance practically by creating 4 dashboards in Design studio. Even we went back to SAP with our questions showing what the user requires in the design studio but they never came back with a good solution all the time.
Since this was a scenario my architect asked why cannot we go with WEB I and try with that tool I have even expalined him a lot of difference and told him we cannot compare both. ie why I thought to pose the above query.
