Hi to all,
I’m moving some BO 6.5 reports to the new XI 3.1…I’ve some reports that make use of a function that I believe in English is “CurrentUser” (sorry, unfortunately my BO is in Italian, where the function is called “UtenteAttuale”)…
However, I don’t find this function anymore in Desktop Intelligence! And that’s weird (It’s not in the list of the available functions, and If I try to write it, I get an error)…but, at the same time, the function IS described in the Help of DeskI (???)
Any Idea at all?
Thanks
It should be available in an alphabetically ordered list from the formula editor under the functions window.
My XI 3.1 has it as =CurrentUser() . Maybe its a translation issue for XI in Italian
Hi joeszabo,
it’s definitely a translation issue…I couldn’t find it even using the alphabetically order…because there is some problem in the name!
Infact, I’ve found it to be called as “Componente aggiuntivo aziendale()” (without the quotes): when I click on the function, I get that the real name is in fact UtenteAttuale!!
I’m attaching an image, so it’s easy to understand, and I’ll write to SAP-BO to ask for a solution…
Thanks
I’m glad you were able to work out the translation and share it here with others . Determination and persistence is often 80% of the solution. Nice job
Thanks Joe …I may have found something even more interesting…
The bug is in the ClientTools that we’ve installed: the DesktopIntelligence instance on the server (which wasn’t installed through the installer of the ClientTools) doesn’t show this bug. On all the other machines there is the ClientTools installed, and each one has got the bug. I believe it’s something weird on the exe, how it was builded (the versions of DeskI between the machines are all the same).
I hope someone of SAP-BO will catch this, and give us something to work on
Again, thanks
