Deski report showing wrong data in Infoview

Hi all,

We are facing a strange issue in our BO XI R2 System. When we execute the report in BOXI deski, the report is showing correct data as in the database. but when we execute it in Infoview, the results are not matchin… not sure, what is the cause of this problem… can anyone pls help me out in this?

If the report is connected to a local copy of the universe with a different connection, this could happen. But you must have already ruled that out. You could go to CMC, report properties and disable caching for this report and then see what happens.

pls note this issue is not with Deski… its with BOXI System itself. thats why i have posted in general forum

The issue i have mentioned above is, Reports are working fine in deski but not generating the same result when we run from infoview.

I understand that. I am talking about report data caching which is a feature for deski reports. By default, the cache span interval is 3 minutes, I think. So it could be possible that you must be gejnerating the report data from cache. That’s why I asked you to switch off caching for this particular report.

deski is always showing the correct data. there is a mismatch in the infoview generated report. :frowning:

Have you viewed the SQL generated in both cases?
Is it the same?

Also check the database middleware on your BOE server, in particular the version of database middleware and the TNSnames (Oracle) entries, etc.

Yes, it is.

Well, you’ll need Webi rather than Infoview.

Create a cell and type the following into it

=DataProviderSQL(DataProvider([xxx]))

where xxx is the name of an object in the data provider that you want to view the SQL of.

Have you tried opening Deski on the BOE server, and see what results you get there?
