Designer suddenly very slow when opening universes (BOXI)

Hello,

I’m suddenly having a problem opening certain universes in Designer. I’m using BO XI 3.0.

When I open universes pointing to a certain database, Designer takes a LOOONG time. It starts to drag at the step when it displays “fetching key info.” Eventually it does open the universe. But it takes 45 mins to 1 hour to open the universe.

I’ve asked the DBAs if anything has changed with the db but they say no.

Has anyone experienced this? What did you do to solve it?

Try turning off the “underline keys” option, does that help? I think that’s the right name for the option, it has to do with how Designer will (or won’t) highlight key information in the table structure.
