Designer: ORA-01005 null password given

Hi, All!

I have one server SAP Data Services 4.0 FP03.

When I have changed IP-address, I cant connect with Designer (ordinary user) to repository:
I see my Default Reporitory and error:
ERROR: OCI call for connection <DB_NAME> failed: <ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied>. BODI-1112172.

BUT administrator can connect to Designer.
And the same situation, when I connect to http://localhost:8080/DataServices/admin.jsp

There are I can see non-active Icons:
Unable to connect to any repository. Please verify repository connection information from Administrator

And last:
In CMC repository I see:
???dummy.action.DS.Repository_List.display.name???
I entering and see:
404 Missing Page

Please help me!!

I had the same issue showing up in the CMC. My “solution” was to install the latest patch (not a service pack) which somehow (magic!) corrected the problem.

With regard to the password issue I was using SQL Server to hold the DS local repository. For some reason the password was not getting saved. Enter it in the CMC, save, close, open it again and the password was gone. I worked around this by using Windows Authentication which required a few changes. This is not a production box so I’m able to do things with it that I wouldn’t normally do. I am not seeing this problem with DS 4.1.

The problem was solved by latest patchset for INFO_PLATFORM_SERVICES (patch 19).
