Welcome to B:bob:B !
Moderator Note: I don’t think it is related to DI, so I’m moving it to Universe Designer.

Hi.
Are you take a look to Windows Event Viewer?
Maybe it say something about why the designer fails.
Good luck!

Hi
Take a look to:
We’re seeing the same error, in both Designer and in Desktop Intelligence. These tools work Ok on the server, but from no other PC. We tried PCs in the same domain, and in different domains as well.
We consistently get this error in the Desktop Intelligence login process on the client PC: SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Transport error: Communication failure.
(hr=#0x80042a01)
And in the client PC’s Windows Event log, we get this: Event ID - 34700, Source - Busine…
Maybe helps you…

Had a case of this last week!
we deleted the LSI file in C:\Documents and Settings<USERNAME>\Application Data\Business Objects\Business Objects 12.0\lsi and it started working.

Hi
I know this is a old post, but did you get this to work, and how?
We have upgraded to XI3.1 SP4 in testenvironment, and one issue is just like yours. Designer screen flashes for a second, and then nothing.
If anyone have inputs, i’m all ears!
