Design Studio SDK / Data Services interaction

Can anyone help?

I am attempting to verify if it is even logical for me to entertain a customer requirement.

Requirement: build a Custom Extension for a Design Studio app that allows users to initiate a ETL (Data Services).

Any input or references to research are appreciated, I have been in and out of everything I can find and have yet to land on a answer.

Don’t know that much about Design Studio, but it is not that hard to call a DS job. If you can shell to a command line on the DS Server (Shared Drive?) That is one route, but you can also do a web service call if they are set up for it.

Lastly (least integrated) you can actually have a DS job that monitors a table and calls jobs for you when records are inserted into the table.
