Delete a DMP file..

Hi all!

I discovered a lot of dmp files starting with BODI_FULL20111009xxxxxx.dmp

These files seem to be log files and they’re located in the folowing path : c://program files /Business Objects/ Business Objects Data Services / Log

Is that ok just to delete these files or should I go through the data console?
Do You know how should these files be deleted ?

Thank’s

Those are the Crash Dump from the Data Services internal program itself. Basically, can be read only by SAP Team!

You can delete them as long as you wouldn’t need a support issue on a specific job.

Currently, there is no automated process to go delete those files. 2 Options…1. Delete them manually once in a while or 2.Create a Batch Program to go delete it

I would probably ask you to have them there for ‘n’ number of days. I generally take ‘n’ to ba week time, but it is your own wish to set it.

Along with that, delete the MINI DMP too!

Oops there is another way too…If you don’t care about them, then you can turn it OFF in the DSConfig.txt

TURN_DUMP_ON = BOTH --> This id Default
TURN_DUMP_ON = FULL
TURN_DUMP_ON = MINI

TURN_DUMP_ON = NONE

I manually delete the dump files. You’ll find them on the job server as well as on the O/S where Designer is running.
