Default storage folder for WebI

Hello!

Is there a way I can get a full client doc to show up in personal documents, corporate docs, or inbox docs without sending it to the repository? I was hoping that I could just put it in a folder on the server instead…quick and easy! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I’m not sure, but I think that WebI is reading the information from the repository database only.
But I heard that the extranet edition allows you to show any documents(.doc, .pdf, etc…) in personal or corporate docs from the server hard drive(you need to know a little of ASP).

I think you can copy it to a user’s personal directory, but you will have to do a refresh to get it to show… I don’t think you could do inbox or corp docs, tho… if only because of the issues with pre-2.52 versions of webi (upgrading / inbox documents)…

That should work, I mean it is basically what you do during an upgrade (between servers)…

That’s what I thought. I was putting the full client doc there, but the doc names were the same and therefore I could not see it.

Thanks for your help!
