Date Prompt switching from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy

Have run across this a few times, where the date prompt accepts the default mm/dd/yyyy format, only to have it suddenly quit working. Error message states the value you entered is not a valid date, then you figure out the prompt is only taking dd/mm/yyyy. Even though you did nothing to make it change.

What’s causing this and how do I fix it?

This is probably either your PRM files / regional Settings, language e.tc.
