DataServices Connection to Hadoop

Hi All,

For DataServices to read files from Hadoop does the JobServer needs to be on Unix/Linux platform ? Being on Windows works too ?

We are on 4.2 SP6 P2 on Windows Platform currently.

Any inputs please ?

Hortonworks HDP 2.3.2 with HIVE 1.2.1 and PIG 0.15.0 is supported with DS on Windows Server as of DS 4.2 SP06 Patch 1.

SAP BDS, a managed Hadoop Cloud offering, is supported as of SP09 for DS on Windows Server.
