Database Name is Longer Than 30 Characters

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could assist me with an issue I’ve been having.

I keep getting the following error while running a report:

[NCR][ODBC Teradata Driver][Teradata Database]Name is longer than 30 characters. .

Is there a setting within Web Intelligence that allows me to get past this? Or is it at a universe level?

I’m no expert on Teradata databases, but from your error message I would say that the ODBC driver you are using does not accept table names longer than 30 characters.

I also found this which says that this version doesn’t support Column / Table name length over 30 characters.

It has nothing to do with Webi or your universe :wink:

I figured as much…so the only solution would be to shorten the table length. I’ll talk with the DBAs.
