Database connection password update in Infoview

Hi

We have made several reports in BO6.5.1 with free hand sql, the connection type is ‘Share’. They were published to InfoView.

We had to update our oracle’s password so i need to update in BO. What i did was, i just went to the Share Oracle connection and change the password and all the reports are updated when it is open in BO but for InfoView it’s not. If i copy the sdac.lsi and pdac.lsi to webi server the password still the wrong password it’s not change and when i try to refresh the report in Infoview i get the error message invalid username/password.

I don’t want to republish all the reports. What i need to do?

Thanks in advance

Did you try re-booting the server?

If this doesn’t work, re-publishing may be your only option?

FH SQL has no place in any production environment, IMO…

Yes, i’ve tried to re-boot but still get the same error message. We have a lot of FH sql report and too little resources but we need an urgent solution.
When i open a report i am able to find a new session path and if i copy the sdac.lsi to this path the report refreshed successfully but when i close and reopen the report i get the error message. Any idea?

Did you try saving it after the refresh?

I suspect these reports are caching the old user name and password. Your only option may be to republish them or revert back to the old Oracle password.

Yes i did but the same error. I don’t think these reports caching passwords, please try it and share for me the results.

Have you tried opening them up using Deski on the BO server itself, does that work?

You are opening actual reports and not instances?

There must be some form of caching going on somewhere, otherwise it would work :?.
